Learn how to enhance your well-being with the help of Sports Core medical and nutritional programming.
START EXERCISING TODAY
Perfect for people just getting started with exercise, this six-week introductory course combines weekly 30-minute personal training sessions with homework assignments that build your workouts from 30 to 120 minutes per week. At the end, you’ll meet with a wellness consultant to strategize for future success. It’s all available in person, online or blended.
CPR/AED TRAINING
With certification through the American Red Cross, the CPR-AED Adult and Pediatric Certification course teaches basic rescue skills that can help in breathing and cardiac emergencies. You’ll learn how to perform CPR and how to operate an automated external defibrillator (AED).
MULTIPLE SCLEROSIS (MS) AQUATICS PROGRAM
The natural properties of water—buoyancy combined with resistance—create an excellent environment for movement and exercise. Held in 80-84°F water, this class is designed specifically for people with MS to help maintain mobility, maximize strength and endurance, and improve flexibility. It accommodates various activity limitations, and assistive devices are welcome.
PERCUSSIVE DEEP MUSCLE THERAPY
The Theragun Pro percussive therapy device effectively relieves pain, accelerates recovery, improves performance and increases relaxation. Therapy is provided by a Sports Core personal trainer in 15- or 30-minute sessions.
ARTHRITIS AQUATIC EXERCISE PROGRAM
Activities include gentle stretching, breathing and light aerobics helping improve joint range of motion, muscle strength, flexibility and aerobic fitness. Land and warm-water aquatic classes are available. No swimming skills are required. Classes are designed for people with arthritis but may help anyone with joint pain and stiffness. Classes are kept small to ensure safety and allow for individual instruction.
BALANCE IMPROVEMENT THROUGH AQUATICS
This program is designed to enhance balance and body control through specified exercises to improve strength, coordination and flexibility all designed to develop improved balance.
ROCK STEADY BOXING PROGRAM FOR PARKINSON’S DISEASE
Improve the quality of life and sense of self-worth with this non-contact boxing-style fitness program designed for people with Parkinson’s Disease. Boxing works by moving your body in all planes of motion while continuously changing the routine as you progress through the workout. Recent studies suggest such programs may actually delay the progression of symptoms. It’s available in person, online or blended.
ON-SITE SPORTS MASSAGE
Customized to your needs, the 50-minute Sports Massage directs neuromuscular therapy techniques at the specific muscles you’re exerting to enhance performance. It’s designed to relieve pain, increase strength, align energy, improve flexibility, and improve well-being—all while enhancing circulation and reducing stress.
