Zane was born and raised in Jacksonville, FL where he played both baseball and tennis until the age of 13 where he decided to fully commit to tennis. After nearly 6 years of playing competitive tennis on the USTA, ITA circuits, Zane made the switch to coaching at the age of 19. He started his tennis coaching career working with mainly adults and beginner children at the Jewish Community Alliance in Jacksonville, FL. After a few years of coaching and traveling the world, Zane landed at Sports Core where his primary focus had shifted to the development of high performance juniors through learning strategies and tactics that focus on match play while maximizing stroke development.
